DIRECTIONS TO US FROM THE AIRPORT OR FROM LISBON:

Take the Motorway A5, by the last way out (Exit 12 >>Malveira da Serra) maintain the right side. Enter the road N9-1 and continue passing 2 roundabouts. Arrived to the farmacy of the village called "Malveira da Serra" you turn a little left and by the signs "Cabo da Roca - Colares" you will follow using the road up the mountain, from which you will enjoy a panoramic view over the ocean; after 7 Km turn left, following the arrow "Azoia>>Cabo da Roca". When you reach the centre of the village, just in front of the restaurant called "Refugio da Roca", you turn right, entering the "Estrada Nova". Continue for about 150 m until you arrive at the Nr. 95. Welcome to CASA BUGLIONE!

Azoia village is a small village, hanging on the wooded hill of the Serra de Sintra, also known as Serra da Lua "The Moon Mountain"; it offers 5 good restaurants, an exotic bar in a converted windmill overlooking the ocean, 2 cafés and 1 store for convenience goods.

You will have wonderful hiking possibilities along the coast, along the cliffs and among the fir covered, boulder-strewn hills. The coast is 1,2 Km away and offers spectacular scenery with Cabo da Roca (most western point of Continental Europe on a 140 m high cliff) and big sandy beaches (magnificent Praia da Adraga, Guincho with dunes, Praia Grande, Praia das Macas etc.) partly stretching out below cliffs.

There are also several golf courses within 10 Km radius; 6 full-length golf courses are within 20 minutes drive. These include Penha Longa; the famous Estoril Golf Club; Quinta da Beloura near Sintra and Clube de Campo at Belas, north of the Royal Palace at Queluz. Next to Penha Longa are the practice facilities of the Academia International de Golf. In Cascais you have the Quinta da Marinha Golf Club and the Quinta da Marinha Oitavos Club. Visitors are welcome everywhere. Praia del Rei, a spectacular links course some 60 Km north of Azoia, is well worth the trip and could include a visit to the nearby ancient walled town of Obidos. Over the river "Tejo", there are a further 3 courses, including the links course at Troia, near Setubal and Arrabida Mountain.

CASA BUGLIONE provides an excellent base to visit the monuments of Sintra, as well as its beautiful parks. Lovers of music can enjoy the Sintra Chamber Music Festivals in June/July and the Ballet Festivals in August.

Within 20 Minutes drive (12 Km) you are also in Cascais, the well known fishing resort or in Estoril with its Congress Centre and the biggest Casino in Europe.
